Your SDK Verification
Here you will learn how to check your SDK XCFramework and make sure it has no direct dependency on the Group Link SDK.
Step 1 - Check your SDK XCFramework
Build your SDK with your usual process and then check the generated XCFramework:
grep -l GroupLinkStatic <YOUR_PROJECT_PATH>/<YOUR_SDK>.xcframework/ios-arm64/<YOUR_SDK>.framework/Modules/<YOUR_SDK>.swiftmodule/*.swiftinterface
grep: must return nothing, meaning there is no reference toGroupLinkStaticin your SDK module.
Commands for a DYNAMIC SDK
otool -L <YOUR_PROJECT_PATH>/<YOUR_SDK>.xcframework/ios-arm64/<YOUR_SDK>.framework/<YOUR_SDK> | grep -i grouplink
otool: must return nothing, meaning there is no reference toGroupLinkStaticin your SDK dynamic dependencies list.
nm -m <YOUR_PROJECT_PATH>/<YOUR_SDK>.xcframework/ios-arm64/<YOUR_SDK>.framework/<YOUR_SDK> | grep -c GroupLinkStatic
nm: must return a number greater than 0, meaning theGroupLinkStaticcode is inside your SDK dynamic binary.
Command for a STATIC SDK
ar -t <YOUR_PROJECT_PATH>/<YOUR_SDK>.xcframework/ios-arm64/<YOUR_SDK>.framework/<YOUR_SDK> | grep GroupLink
ar: must return 1 line, meaningGroupLinkStaticis inside your SDK static archive.
[OPTIONAL] - Check your SDK Swift Package dependencies
If your SDK is distributed as a Swift Package, it is important to check that it has no direct dependency on the Group Link SDK.
In your SDK Package.swift:
- Check that your SDK does not have
dependencies:oniOSGrouplinkStatic.
Example of a Package.swift with no dependency on iOSGrouplinkStatic
// swift-tools-version:5.9
import PackageDescription
let package = Package(
name: "YourSDK",
platforms: [
.iOS(.v13)
],
products: [
.library(
name: "YourSDK",
targets: ["YourSDK"]
)
],
dependencies: [
// ...
// No dependency on iOSGrouplinkStatic
],
targets: [
.binaryTarget(
name: "YourSDK",
path: "YourSDK.xcframework"
)
]
)
